What would you do if a shirtless, pants less young man showed up to your door holding a loaf of bread that you ordered from the local bakery? That question was answered by several New Yorkers in May 2014. 30 year old David Bastar of Nanuet (Rockland County) had allegedly stolen a Grimaldi’s Home of Bread truck and then proceeded to do the unthinkable. Starting from Second Avenue on the Upper East Side, Bastar delivered all the company’s orders of bread, worth about $8,000, in the wee hours of the morning. The unclothed anti-hero was pulled over and arrested by police near LaGuardia Airport because he allegedly was seen tailgating a limo.

Thick as Thieves: A Family Traditionstealing-294489_640

How far would you go for your family? Whether or not it’s wrong or right to steal food for your family has been an age old conundrum. In this case, it seems that Scott Catt is going to have to explain his point of view to the judge. Catt put it all on the line for his family by robbing banks after the death of his wife. Not only did he rob about five banks in Oregon, he enlisted the help of his son and daughter who were both under the age of 18 at the time of the committed robberies. Although he may have tried to help his family, he may have ended up doing more harm than good.

Since when has taking a leisurely stroll with friends become an actionable offense? One man in Winnipeg found out that cannot walk “more than two abreast” in a group of people on a sidewalk. Or at least not while under the influence of alcohol. Using the behemoth of social media, the man’s friend Chris Herda vented his frustrations on Facebook along with a picture of the ticket. These two probably won’t be taking long strolls on the sidewalk together anymore.

Not even the Man of Steel could have saved a 21-year old man from drunkenly trying to stop a speeding locomotive in Yorkshire, England. Nathan Barker was nearly killed by a railway train when he jumped onto the tracks in an effort to stop it. No one knows why he wanted the train to stop. Thanks to the rail car driver’s quick thinking and applying the train’s emergency brakes, the drunk and high Barker was not injured.
