Are You Ready to Rock at Austin City Limits Music Festival?

With the 2013 edition of the now world-renowned Austin City Limits music festival just around the corner, Austin is set to become a musical circus for the next few weeks—and Austinites couldn’t be more excited about it. The ACL music festival—headlined by throwbacks like Depeche Mode and The Cure—kicks off the two-weekend extravaganza on Friday, October 4th, and music fans from around the world promise to flood Zilker for some frenzied and fanatical fun.

The ACL music festival features an unbelievable lineup, as acts like Artic Monkeys, Queens of the Stone Age, Kings of Leon, Muse, Vampire Weekend, Wilco, and Kendrick Lamar help solidify a roster that is not lacking in star power. At the same time, the festival features more than a few incredibly talented and under-the-radar bands, and festival goers will be treated to a wide variety of musical talent. From mainstream alternative to indie folk, from hip hop to honky tonk, the lineup has something to offer for every single fan in what surely will be a diverse and eclectic crowd in Austin’s favorite park.

In addition to the almost-overwhelming amount of music that is set to be played in Zilker Park for two weekends, more than 30 of Austin’s favorite restaurants will be setting up food stands and offering up Texas mainstays like Tex-Mex, BBQ, and burgers. For those who have something else in mind, though, others will be serving up options like Indian, Greek, and pizza and just about everything in between.

The first weekend, which is set for October 4-6, has long since been sold out, and tickets for the second—set for October 11-13—are sure to follow suit soon, so all the procrastinators better act fast if they want to be a part of one of the most exciting weekends in Austin! Freedom Bail Bonds wants you to be safe while you’re having a good time so here are 3 tips to help you stay sober during Austin City Limits.

1. Space your drinks:
Not all drinks are created equal and some even take 2-6 hours to metabolize. Avoid accidents by sticking with the 1 drink per hour rule.

2. Watch what you combine:
Be aware of the warning labels for prescription and over-the-counter medication. Check to be sure that any drugs you’re currently taking can be safely combined with alcoholic beverages.

3. Know your limit:
Be aware of what your body can handle and don’t cross the line. It may be a special event, but going over the limit runs the risk of ruining your fun all-together.

So have a great time but drink responsibly. If you get in a little hot water, give us a call 24 hours a day. We want you to remember, that no matter what the situation, Freedom Bail Bonds is here to help.
