As the bail enforcement agent for Freedom Bail Bonds, my job is to post a bond to the county court where you’ve been arrested so that you can get out of jail. The money I pay is to assure the court that you will return on your court date. We are experts at getting you out of jail quickly so you can continue with your life while awaiting trial.
Our bail bond company has been in business for over 25 years and provides bail bond services for the Austin metro area which includes Travis and Williamson Counties in Texas and we know the system well. As your bailbondsman, I will help you navigate the legal system with the least amount of stress to you and your family.
Reasons You Need a Bail Bondsman:
- Work with friends or family members to arrange for a bail bond co-signer.
- Meet with the arrested person in jail to assure them that help is on the way.
- Attend court with the arrested person and pay the bail to the court.
- Coordinate with an attorney, if you’ve hired one, to keep everyone informed of all legal requirements and court appearances.
How much does a bail bond cost? Depending on several factors, securing a bail bond for someone who has been arrested will cost you between 10-15% of the total amount of bond set. You will not know that amount until the judge sets the bail amount in court, usually the morning after someone has been arrested. So for example, if the judge sets a bond at $5,000, your bail bond payment would be around $500 – $750. But don’t let that number scare you, a lot depends on the circumstances and the qualifications of your co-signer. We’ll always try to work with you on a payment you can afford.
